THE ANIME MEN STUDIO
We handled set design & styling for The Anime Men, creating a cozy, anime-inspired space designed for watching and enjoying anime with friends. Our work focused on building an inviting, lived-in environment that reflected the warmth and personality of a shared fan experience. The design aimed to create a unique, highly recognizable space that feels equally compelling in both daytime and nighttime settings. Key elements included a table and couch designed to evoke the feeling of flying through clouds, oversized flowers, and a playful use of scale where everyday objects are transformed into larger-than-life features. The result is an out-of-this-world environment that feels whimsical, immersive, and visually striking.

Custom Fabrication
We focused heavily on custom fabrication to bring The Anime Men’s world to life through one-of-a-kind, anime-driven set pieces. Hero elements included a full-scale JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure sign, a completely original Persona 5 mirror, and a series of hand-painted shelves. Each shelf was treated as its own canvas, incorporating references to their favorite anime, including: Bleach, Mob Psycho, Slam Dunk, Spirited Away, and One Piece.

Prop Sourcing
Our prop sourcing leaned on our deep love of anime and manga, letting us uncover pieces that truly resonate. For example, in the magical forest enclave we drew inspiration from Berserk, Vinland Saga, and Studio Ghibli. We connected the space to the main area through a giant daisy (nodding to Chainsaw Man) and floral rugs. In the other corner, we leaned into more retro-tech aesthetics, sourcing an oversized watch, lava lamp, and skate deck shelves.
